Toxicology studies list

Raj Biotech (India) Pvt. Ltd. has conducted several regulatory and non regulatory safety studies over past one decade and specializes in preclinical research and safety testing of pharmaceuticals, biotech products, agrochemicals, biocides, fine chemicals, food additives and consumer products.

RBIPL undertakes all types of toxicology testing, ranging from simple acute toxicity studies to complex prenatal development, teratology, multigeneration reproduction studies as well as long term studies of 2 years combined chronic carcinogenecity studies. RBIPL has import licences to import and house SPF ( Specific Pathology Free) animals for conduct of toxicology studies in compliance with sponsor's requirement and in conformity with global standards. All studies are conducted in the compliance with the OECD GLP principles.

● Acute toxicology - RBIPL offers acute testing services of various routes like oral, dermal, intravenous, intraperitoneal, intra nasal, intra muscular, subcutaneous, eye irritation, skin irritation, skin sterilization using mice, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits as per OECH, DCGI, EU, EPA, ICH guidelines.

● Sub chronic / chronic toxicity studies - RBIPL has been conducting subchronic, chronic and neutrotoxicity studies for 14 days, 28 days and 90 days. Dermal toxicity studies of 21 days and 28 days are conducted. FOB test for neurological examination is conducted in sub chronic toxicity studies.

● Genotoxicity / Mutagenicity - Bacterial Mutation Test (Ames Test), in vivo and in vitro, chromosomal aberration studies, cell gene mutation studies. Specially trained technical and scientific staffs enable to continue RBIPL as preferred choice among toxicology testing houses.

● Reproductive toxicology studies - RBIPL offers reproductive, developmental and teratology studies including natural and foetal toxicity.

● Ecotoxicology - RBIPL offers aquatic ecotoxicological studies for agrochemicals, biocides, speciality chemicals and pharmaceutical compounds. Tests are also conducted on earthworms, honeybees, bird toxicity Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica ) and Mallard duck (Anas polatyrhynchos)

● Haematology, Clinical chemistry & Histopathology - All the supporting departments are well equipped with machineries and standard reference materials of international traceability.

                    Quality_Assurance

RBIPL has dedicated and trained quality assurance personnel who support all studies. They train and ensure that all study personnel are fully acquainted with technical skill and thorough knowledge of GLP requirements. This is achieved by their round the clock, 365 days a year effort in continual training and improvement programmes, technical assessment and by conducting audits at all phases of study. The SOP systems are maintained and controlled by the Quality Assurance Unit. Archives are also under QA's control. Systematic and regular reviews of all the policies and procedures are conducted and documented. RBIPL conducts in-depth audit ensuring that the data obtained from studies are accurate and traceable to the source documents.

                           Archives

Archives department takes care of the various study items that get generated during and after the study is over. viz - raw data, protocols, SOPs, QA reports, Final report, report CD, slides, organs in wax blocks, organs in formalin ...etc. SOPs of archiving dept are followed while taking, discarding, retreiving any study material. The archiving period is mutually pre-decided when the study commences.
